Decreasing Fat Tips- Half the Battle is How You Think

You need to stay focused when you are  losing weight because how you think is more than half the battle. You’ve heard it before, “If you believe it, you can achieve it,” but it also works another way. If you feel you CAN’T do something, then you never will.

Now, maybe this is just my observation or maybe it really is a human flaw but I notice more often that people give in to the negative section of that quote. “See, I knew I wouldn’t be good at reducing weight” or “Exercising simply doesn’t work for me” or “I tried but I guess I’m always going to have this big belly.” WELL, OF COURSE YOU ARE, talking to yourself like THAT!

Those statements are just confirming the negative thoughts your mind has already outlined for you. The human flaw comes in as the acceptance of “being right” even though it’s in the wrong circumstance. By doing what you think you “should” do and not being successful at it just like you “knew” would occur, your mind confirms the bad thought you had all along and you recognize it as the truth.

But try out these lowering weight tips.

As you’re sitting down to enjoy a healthy meal you have prepared, think to yourself, “I KNEW I could do this! I knew I could trust myself to make healthy food choices so that I can do better at cutting my weight. I knew I would delight in every bite of this because I know it’s good for me and I know my body will GREATLY benefit from this delightful meal.”

Employ this tip at EVERY meal, even when you’re not totally confident yet. After your subconscious mind hears it enough, it will begin to believe and it will wish to assist you continually make the appropriate decisions to keep confirming the idea that you CAN do it instead of the negative one, declaring you can’t.

And on the flip side of this, when you’re considering pigging out on a really unhealthy meal, say to yourself, “I know this is really bad for me and this food will not benefit my body as much as a healthier choice would. I understand that if I cheat, I will not feel good about consuming the junk food. If I decide to eat unhealthy foods, I am not confirming my notion that I CAN reduce my weight and eat better.” Soon enough your mind will be so turned off by junk food that you won’t actually crave them!

These are some of the very best lowering weight tips I can provide you with because they really enable you to control yourself so you don’t even desire to cheat. In fact, you feel so great about what you’re eating, you don’t even consider cheating because it’s so detrimental.

I never understood what was happening in MY head as I make my food choices but in breaking it down for you, that’s Exactly what goes through my mind! Not word for word naturally but certainly the same decreasing weight tips!

When I prepare myself an extremely healthy meal, I think to myself how fantastic it looks, how good it will taste, and how satisfied with myself I am for making that meal and not deciding on something unhealthier because it was quicker. I truly do appreciate each and every bite because I KNOW every bite is wonderful for my body.

And IF or when I even think of getting something unhealthy to eat, I think to myself what a wrong choice it would be because it does not go along with my philosophy. I truly feel guilty (and turned off) for going against myself like that because I feel so strongly about making sensible food choices. I understand that snack will not supply good nutrition to help me in decreasing my weight- it will only add to the fat I don’t even want! And that’s enough to make that food so unappetizing to me that I don’t even want it any longer.

Bottom line is, I’ve been repeating those beliefs in my mind for the past year (at least) and I would say that after a couple of months, they grew to become a part of me. Once I integrated these decreasing weight tips into my thoughts and  my belief system, I was able to make better food choices more naturally and minimize my weight down to a weight I am VERY proud of.
